The coffee was not what I was expecting, the flavours were all over the place, a tad difficult to dial in. But most importantly the roast consistency was quite poor, some beans looked like a light roast, some dark roast and some in between. Please keep your expectations low while ordering this.
Not satisfied with the roast profile. Not convinced that the roast profile of the beans in the bag matched with what was mentioned on the bag. My first experience with this coffee was great. The second one, not so much.
Makes smooth fruity espresso with a great finish and aftertaste. Very sweet in a nice way. Seems to have a bit less kick than other coffees so you can have more without feeling jittery.

We are excited to introduce our latest creation, LIBERICA The Tree Coffee.
This coffee is a double fermented washed Liberica coffee that we are proud to have processed ourselves at Sandalkad Estate, Coorg. Our team took on the challenge of post-harvest processing, which had never been attempted before with Liberica coffee due to its thick skin and high sugar content, making it a laborious and difficult process to pulp liberica cherries and do a washed process. However, we were determined to showcase the inherent complexity, floral and fruity notes of Liberica coffee. We believe this unique and delicious coffee is worth savouring until the very last drop.
The dry aroma of this coffee has very intense aromatics with notes of Molasses, Jaggery & Carmel.
Within the confines of the cup, the coffee presents itself as a complex and multidimensional experience, with a rich and deep-toned character that captivates the senses. Upon inhalation, one is greeted with a tantalising array of aromas, including hints of molasses, blackberry jam, praline, and jaggery syrup, which combine to form a bouquet of unparalleled depth and nuance. As the coffee is savoured on the palate, subtle malt undertones emerge, adding a layer of complexity to the already intricate flavour profile. And as the journey draws to a close, the finish reveals itself with a flourish of dried prunes and jaggery syrup notes, leaving a lasting impression that lingers long after the last sip has been taken.
A little insight into what Liberica Coffee Species
Coffea liberica, commonly known as the Liberian coffee, is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae from which coffee is produced. It is native to western and central Africa (from Liberia to Uganda and Angola), and has become naturalised in areas including Colombia, Venezuela, Borneo and Java.
Coffea liberica trees are very tall, reaching up to 20 m (66 ft) high. They are harvested using ladders. The size of the cherries, the beans, and the leaves of barako are also among the largest of all coffee varieties.
